Crispy thin cookies!
Ingredients
- 1 cup cream or milk
- 3 cups sugar
- 0.5 cups water
- 0.75 cups butter
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 5 cups flour
Directions
- Mix top ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for another two minutes, stirring constantly. Cool.
- Mix remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl, and blend in syrup. Cover or put in bag and let sit for at least a few hours.
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Using flour on all surfaces, roll out dough as thin as possible (approaching 1mm); cut out figures. Place on parchment paper or greased baking sheet.
- Bake about five minutes, until golden. Remove immediately.
Notes
Makes a few hundred cookies.
