A fragment of the Garden of Remembering

Classic dry brownies. Generally somewhat dry and crumbly, also sometimes a bit gooey?

Parts

  • 0.75 cups cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1.25 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Process

  1. Heat oven to 350F. Grease baking pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  2. Whisk together main ingredients. Spread batter in pan.
  3. Bake 30 minutes or until brownies start to pull away from sides of pan. Do not overbake.
  4. Cool slightly, cut into bars.
