Crispy thin cookies! 

=== Ingredients ===

* 1 cup cream or milk
* 3 cups sugar
* 0.5 cups water
* 0.75 cups butter

* 1 tsp pepper
* 1 tsp ginger
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 5 cups flour

=== Directions ===

# Mix top ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for another two minutes, stirring constantly. Cool.
# Mix remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl, and blend in syrup. Cover or put in bag and let sit for at least a few hours.


# Heat oven to 350F.
# Using flour on all surfaces, roll out dough as thin as possible (approaching 1mm); cut out figures. Place on parchment paper or greased baking sheet.
# Bake about five minutes, until golden. Remove immediately.
