For this and so many impertinent, intrusive questions people seem to feel perfectly comfortable asking, I think we should all practise some return-to-sender response like 'What an odd thing to say', 'I don't get it', or 'Are you okay?' True, you can't be sure until you have to use it, but mental preparation helps.
