I like in Elder Scrolls with the concept of Mantling. Basically, if you walk like a god and talk like a god and you do it so completely the universe can't tell the difference, then you are the god. It's how you fulfill prophesies. You just gotta fulfill its requirements hard enough that fate thinks it's about you.
