As long as something is kept at roughly boiling temperature, it can be bacteria- and mold-free basically forever. It really doesn't matter if it's 'fresh'. People used to have what they called 'perpetual stews', which was just a pot hung over a fire and kept boiling continuously for weeks or even months at a time. They'd basically just toss their leftovers in there to be eaten later, and you didn't get sick from it because it's always hot.
